Good food and service. Self serve beer wall was really cool.
My wife and I and two of our friends had a really enjoyable meal here. The restaurant is located in the club house of the South Hills golf course. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable with sort of an elegant and modern country vibe. They have a nice bar and, most interestingly, a pour your own beer tap wall. I believe they had 12 taps of various craft beer. The server gives you a card to scan at each tap which activated the tap and keeps your beer bill. You're charged by the ounce (anywhere from about 30-55 cents per ounce). This makes it easy to get a little sample if you wish before pouring a whole glass. It also means you do not have to wait for your server to return to the table or for the bartender to refill your glass. Info screens above each tap list the beer and price and, if you tap the screen, many give you more information about the beer. The bar also has can/bottle beer as well. Our server Sierra was quick to attend to us, very pleasant and helpful, and did a wonderful job making sure we had a great experience. The menu is quite varied; appetizers, salads, hand holds, bowls, entrees. We had no trouble finding something that each of our party found interesting. For appetizers, we got the house made chips w Parmesan cheese and balsamic drizzle. Chips were warm, wonderfully crunchy, and properly salted. They would have been lovely plain, but the Parm and balsamic made them really delicious. We also tried the fried rockfish bites. They were hot and lightly battered. Very delicate and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. They came with a delicious Thai chili sauce on the side, which I loved. My wife doesn't do spice, so Sierra brought her some malt vinegar which was also delicious.Thirdly, we tried the Brussels sprouts sauteed w bacon and topped w Parm and balsamic. Gently charred on the edges, with the smoky bacon pieces, grated Parm they were really delicious. The balsamic glaze in top added just enough sweetness to balance the slightly natural bitterness of the sprouts. All of the appetizers had nice portion size and each would have been appropriate for two people. For an entree, I got the bacon wrapped meatloaf. It was accompanied by fresh green beans sauteed w peppers and onions. They were a nice bright taste of freshness on a cold snowy day. Also with the meatloaf was a roasted diced potato medley (white, purple and sweet). Nice crispy on the outside and mealy on the inside, it was properly salted and delicious. The meatloaf itself was tender and smoky from the bacon. Topped w a tangy barbecue sauce, it was excellent and I really enjoyed it. The portion size was quite ample, but it was too good to have leftovers. My wife had a cheese flatbread and salad. Simple, but really well made. The crust on the flatbread was crispy yet tender w a slight smokiness. Plenty of cheese and sauce made my wife very happy. The farmer side salad had mixed greens w cucumbers, tomates an croutons in a very pleasant dressing. It was excellent as an accompaniment to the flatbread. Our dinner mates had the tuna bowl and the steak with crab respectively. The tuna bowl had a large portion of medium rare grilled tuna on a flavorful bowl of vegetables in a savory broth. The steak was perfectly medium and topped w a crab salad. It had the same sides as my meatloaf. They both enjoyed their meals very much and we all agreed that we will be going back.Price wise, it's not a cheap place to eat, but it wasn't ridiculously expensive either. The bill seemed appropriate for the quality and portion size of the food. If you're looking for a comfy, upscale dinner spot then give this a try.
Met a friend here for dinner. The restaurant is a little difficult to find as it is in the club house it a golf course but there is plenty of signage.Everything we had was amazing. Absolutely no complaints about any of the food. Especially the crab dip. I wanted to order it as my entree after finishing it as an appetizer. Our service was impeccable. I had asked for a French 75 and though the bartender had never made one, they tried. The manager came over to find out how it was.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The food was brought out in a timely manner and was not only presented beautifully, but was also delicious! We had the Tuna Poke as our appetizer. I was so full that I didn't each much of my dinner! I loved my delicious leftovers the next day!We will definitely be back!
