Lovely to be back after the Covid years. We all thought the food was excellent. The staff were attentive and service excellent. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went for a meal for 2 on Saturday 11th Nov at 6.45 very awkward atmosphere. The staff were more interested in socialising with each other at the bar being very loud. A member of staff tending to the fire was swearing loudly. There was only one other table occupied by customers and told kitchen was closed at 8pm. The chef was eating pizza at the bar. We had to leave table to go and ask a member of staff for bill. I have been coming to this pub for over 30 years and never had such a bad feeling.
