I've been dining at the Brass Lantern since 1976. In that time, they've only had two owner/operators. I've never had anything but great food, excellent service, and at reasonable pricing. Since the present owners took over many years ago, the menu has gotten much more diverse, the daily specials never disappoint, and of course their delicious salad bar and homemade dressings have never been better. I applaud the fact that the management and employees always welcome my family with open arms and always seem to give us the VIP treatment regardless of how busy they may be! I'm so thankful they are just a short drive away, and hope they continue their dining legacy for many years to come!

Our family was staying at Lake Barkley for the weekend and wanted a change from the lodge restaurant, so we headed to Brass Lantern for a late dinner based on good reviews on Google. Next time, I'll give it a miss. The food was average. Not bad, but not great... Pretty unremarkable. I had a steak, which I ordered medium rare, but came over-medium and bland. There was little flavor to it. The baked potato came with plastic ramikens of butter and sour cream and was also bland. Someone else in our party ordered a flat iron pork loin that was salty and tough. The kids mac and cheese looked like Kraft and didn't taste much different. The salad bar needs some fixing up and more options. Over all, the food and presentation didn't live up to the prices $27 for a 12oz strip) or the reviews on Google. The service was good, however, and our server was attentive and very friendly. If it's me, and I'm spending $30 on a steak, I'd try something else.

Really good. Family of 4 enjoyed our time here. Everything we ordered was very good, from the cheeseburger and fries to pork flat iron and the sirloin steak to the salmon. The service was very attentive, drinks never was empty. Was asked several times if we needed anything and was everything good, not in a pestering way though. Definitely try the Brass Lantern if you havnt before.

We go to the Brass Lantern every chance we get. Great Steaks prime rib! Love the atmosphere , servers owners. Have never been disappointed . Always take out of town guest here and they are amazed with the quality of the food and hospitality . Keep up the good work.
