Virginia Abc - Hardy

The store has restrictions on certain popular bottles due to high demand. They are the only location that carries the Summer Citrus CIROC, but I can only purchase three bottles, which seems ridiculous. There are also limitations on certain bourbon brands, but it seems to vary by community. In my experience, I've never encountered this issue in my area or others. I even waited outside in hopes of finding someone to ask if they could go in and grab me another bottle since I was buying for others as well. The only people I noticed were older white men. When I called to say I was on my way to buy four bottles, they should have informed me about the limit. The store is quite small, and it seems like you have to be discreet when shopping; the manager is always watching closely. They don't seem to have a very diverse customer base. Nevertheless, I was glad to find some bottles after a 30-minute drive, especially since Summer Citrus is sold out in many places across different states.

I arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes before it opened, and a line quickly formed as people eagerly waited to get inside. The doors opened promptly, and each customer was warmly welcomed as they entered. I didn't have to wait in a checkout line; I was assisted right away when I was ready to make my purchase. The cashier was friendly and helpful.

I had a fantastic experience at the Smith Mountain Lake location in Hardy, VA, thanks to the two gentlemen working last Thursday. Jack was incredibly helpful, and both of them were quite engaging. Their conversation was filled with humor, making the visit even more enjoyable. Thank you!

Nice location. They're in the middle of a move to a new place, but just a plaza. So I fully expect that when they get in their new place, it will be much better choice. The staff was very helpful.
