Rita's Italian Ice - Harleysville

It is what you expect from a seasonal Rita. Parking and benches can sometimes be overcrowded as the typical family-friendly lines build on these hot summer nights... but they pierce it quite quickly through their two windows.

Love the place! Such a treat! I actually pay for my throat to freeze.

They always have plenty of ice and custard flavors available and the service is nice. Sometimes it can get crowded with neighborhood kids or families but there are also times when it tends to be less busy. I do wish there was more seating available instead of the two wire benches next to the dry cleaners- not always the nicest ambiance to enjoy a frozen treat- but a relatively small issue compared to the great things!

The lemonade was excessively sweet, resembling sugar water. I was quite disappointed with the quality.

A kid named Luke used to work there, and I would playfully call him Rita whenever I saw him at school. He took it in good humor. By the way, the water ice portion is way too large!
