The Red Caboose - Harriston

Convinced we needed to try again we stopped for a burger. Our order was second in line, so I thought, great we won't be long! Wrong! Must be a new cook because it took 25 minutes for our two burgers to come to the window. If they were yummy I could overlook it, but the patties were like burned little hockey pucks. Truly gross. We did not send them back because by the time we took a few bites, they became swamped with orders and we had no interest in waiting another 30 minutes. I want to like it here, I really do....but they are so inconsistent. We probably won't stop again. Sorry.

The first time we stopped we enjoyed it very much. The burgers and fries were great. Stopped another time and got two medium cones...and it was laughable. We ordered mediums and were not sure if they could have put less ice-cream on the cone. If those were mediums (not even a proper scoop) we wondered what the small looked like! I have seen baby cones with more ice-cream in them. LOL! Either the fellow scooping was not trained well in how to scoop ice cream, or they are just super cheap. No exaggeration. Wish I thought to take a picture.

I loved the outdoors under the canapeea. Nice breeze, and the flowers were so beautiful.The rocks were great surrounded the Caboose. The train Caboose has been fixed up & painted to perfection.Also the staff is very nice & I hope they donot close yet.

Always good , we stop for fries only. Haven'the tried anything else on menu. Seems very busy, that's a good sign

We live in town and enjoy take out from here. It's quick and tasty and fresh. Also a huge plus for me is that they accept DEBIT.
