Bidra med feedbackGood beer selection, semi pricey but not awful. Nice place overall.
I like this place. The inside was different. I told my husband I felt like I was in a cruise ship. Im a big fan of French onion soup, but I was hesitant as the last couple places I tried was a bust. This place had some good soup! I sat next to the window...it was -2 outside. It was cold by that window. I'd recommend staying away from the windows on the cold days if you dont want to keep your jackets on and around your legs to keep you warm. We went right before a Wolfpack game. It is a quick walking distance away. Definitely will go back.
The beer was the only redeemable aspect of City Steam. The fish was very dry and the zucchini that came with it was drenched in oil. The burger was cool with cheese that wasn't melted and the nachos left a lot to be desired. If you enjoy their beer just go for that or buy the cans. We do appreciate our barback who served us and made sure we got our beer.
Food was great. They accommodated about 8 or us, with no reservations. Gabby was our sever, and was wonderful, we just ordered a bunch if appetizers and split them. Great if you like fried food! I was able to order some steamed veggie dumplings foea little healthier alternative and some chips and guac. Desserts were out of this world! They were delicious and huuuuge! We loved the place we were able to visit with each other and play pool!
They're pretty heavy on the fried and meat options, although there are a few vegetarian options. I had the fried chicken, which was a little thick and very chewy, but not bad. The fries were delicious. The beer is good. The atmosphere is a little too loud for talking, it's definitely not a great place to have a conversation, but lots of fun if you're going to watch a game or casually hang out.
