Main Street Cafe - Hartford

First time here! Service was very quick and friendly, food was hot and fresh, and prices were decent. I love the location in downtown Hartford.

My boyfriend 's omlette was filled with kraft singles and for the price it should have been shredded. My Mexican skillet looked very picture-esque but had no flavor or salt. I never leave food behind, I 'll box it if I don 't finish... But I ended up leaving half the skillet.

Yummy fast friendly. Love those skillets. Wi-fi and relax. Eat and tip well, support local.

Visited Sunday for breakfast, they weren?t very busy and I believe I know why, prices are the 1st reason. They now charge extra for everything. Usually ordered 2 eggs toast and a breakfast meat for under $8, now I got 2 eggs which usually comes with toast and hash browns, even a side of bacon or ham. Now when you order you get charged 75 cents more for toast, 75 cents more for hash browns and 2.50 more for a breakfast meat. Next you pay another 3% if you use a credit card. I wanted to use a debit card and they won?t even take that. So my usual breakfast which was under $8 is $12.50+ which is quite and increase. Yes prices have gone up but over 33%. No way we are coming back here as there are many other places near by that have not done this big increase.

First time coming here for lunch on Thursday. Place looked nice and the food was yummy! The waitress was really nice. Hope to come back in the near future?
