Black Creek Bistro - Hartsville

The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and serene. Despite a large party taking place in the venue, the servers managed our table well, and the noise level was not intrusive. The seating arrangement was well-planned, and the cleanliness of the place was commendable. I noticed that the tablecloths were changed whenever the table shifted. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and had tasted the dishes sufficiently to provide insightful descriptions. We enjoyed two specials along with some regular menu items, and I would definitely consider returning.

Dinner service was enjoyable. We tried the diving snakes with risotto. I would suggest that they consider adding a vegetarian option to the menu.

The food was enjoyable. I ordered a dish that included broth, so I requested some bread. However, the bread arrived long after I had finished my meal. When it finally did come, it was cold and slightly burnt, and the broth was also cool. A bit of charred flavor was fine, but it should have been served hot at the very least. Additionally, my mixed drink never made it to the table. I was confused by the bill, but the server provided an itemized breakdown that clarified everything before taking it away.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you go through or live near Hartsville, SC. We were on the road and arrived late there, but we are treated as old friends. We were received and fed well! We ordered the goat cheese Fritters as starters. I had the salmon and my husband had the ribeye. They were so prepared and melted in the mouth. We also splashed with a piece of salted caramel cheese cake. Certainly worth stopping the time! Look forward to your coffee shop, The Rooster One Thirty Six, this morning!

First time going here on a whim and glad I did atmosphere is classy and private feeling ,you immediately feel like you?re about to treat yo self and you are. The goat cheese fritters blew my mind the steaks were deliscious and then came to desert we couldn?t decide so we ordered two of the three we were looking at and both were excellent the owners wife (I?m assuming) was our waitress and she saw our interest in the third and brought us a slice of that option on the house . I will say it was a slow night so they seemed more lax in greeting and procedure but as a fairly casual guy this made me feel more relaxed in the environment anyway. I?m taking my best friend on a bro date this week because I want to show this place off to others.
