Bidra med feedbackThe best Mexican food I've ever had! We drove from Texas to San Diego and decided to follow Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" recommendations. After dining at The Pepper Pot, I think it's safe to say that Hatch is on its way to California in my book. I was blown away by the incredible flavors in the Enchiladas and the Chile Relleno. The whole staff, including the owner Melba, took the time to engage with us and ensure we were enjoying our meal. The prices are unbeatable, but just a heads up—they only accept cash.
What is strikingly absent is any mention or memory of the most famous visitors of the restaurant. In August 2008, the tireless host Anthony Bourdain appeared at the Pepper Pot during a filming of his No Reservations Show. His companions were Judd Nordyke (mayor of Hatch) and his beautiful better half Marcia (coordinator of the Hatch Chile Festival), who train Bourdain at the beautiful points of red and green Chile. Bourdain explained Pepper Pots Enchiladas “the best red enchiladas of his life. ‘
Food is very good. Service is great. Green chili sauce is excellent. I wish I could do it half as good. Will stop next time I'm in the area. We had a big party and everyone had a great experience. Very recommended
This place is incredible; nothing else comes close. We tried the tacos and the chimichanga plate, and they were absolutely fantastic! Everything was exceptionally fresh, the green chili was mouthwatering, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I only wish this restaurant were closer to my home!
In the center of the finest chiles in the world sits this exquisite and dainty restaurant. With all the latin pizzazz that makes new mexico true the slogan. Pepper pot stands out. Good service, and tasty food
