Lake Wally Cafe - HAWLEY

I ended up at this restaurant because another diner wasn’t open on time, and I’m so glad I did! What a fantastic little gem! The prices are the best I’ve seen in a long time, and they have a great selection along with excellent service. It’s a cozy spot, but absolutely worth a visit. I went at 8 AM on a Saturday and managed to snag the last table. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly, even though it seemed like they were short-staffed during a busy time. Despite the hustle and bustle, everything ran smoothly, and I had a wonderful experience.

When we were finally acknowledged, the server mentioned that we had sat ourselves, but we still hadn't received any menus. By this point, the people who arrived after us were already finishing their meals. Frustrated, we decided to leave instead. While the food may have been good in the past, the treatment we received from the staff was not worth it. I live nearby part-time, and this used to be one of my go-to spots, but I won’t be returning. Such a shame.

Waitstaff was incredibly attentive and kind. The pancakes were undercooked and the bacon was on the overcooked side. It was breakfast but I wished it was better.

Friendly but slow service. Food took a further turn for the worse: everyone got served some form of nearly raw potato (home fries and fries), pancakes were not fully cooked.
