Mallalieu Boutique & Artisan Deli

Great cafe, named after a family name. I stopped in at 4pm Thursday for a tall long black coffee and warmed apple crumble muffin all very nice. I sat in the quiet courtyard out back (very peaceful and plenty of seating). I will have to visit again. Also open Saturdays.

It’s not always easy to find a good dirty chai, especially one made with soy. Gorgeous place to enjoy a warm drink in quiet surrounds with great service.

Went with friends to this amazing place for breakfast. They had the eggs with bacon. Me! I had the pancakes and they were absolutely awesome. I can honestly say these were the best ones I have had in a very, very long time. I was unsure how the mandarin flavour mixed with the poppy seed pancakes were going to taste but they blew me away. They also sell clothing, jewellery and they also make and sell their own preserved fruits, vegetables jams that looked wonderful as well all done on the premises!!. The staff were so friendly and they were really helpful. This shop is worth a visit if you are in Melbourne or going near Hawthorn. It is a smallish building but bursting with wonderful food coffee.

Easter Lunch with the In-laws. Setting was great and service was friendly and prompt. The food was fresh and delicious. Catered for our Vegan like palate with the Seasonal Bowl. Great hand made deli produce as well.

We recently hosted a milestone birthday party at Mallalieu and they did an excellent job. They provided a grazing table, sliders, noodle box delights for our stand-up crowd, mini desserts, and a fantastic birthday cake. Everything tasted delicious. I highly recommend Mallalieu for your next party or function.
