Mandy's Family - Hawthorne

Really old school style restaurant with great food. Very nice and attentive staff. We have breakfast there at least 4 times a month and love it. Also reasonable prices. About 12 bucks for 2 eggs 2 bacon sausage hasashbrowns and 2 pancakes. It fills me pretty well. Coffee is good. Also Huevos rancheros and beans are delicious, they remind me of my mothers cooking. I highly recommend this place to have a long slow chill breakfast. Workers of the world UNITE!!

The food was very good. Biscuits and gravy were the highlight. Eggs were done to order. This was just my second visit but I do plan on getting there more often.

I had a great experience at Mandy's! The food is delicious and reasonably priced, exactly what you’d expect from a classic diner. I was seated right away and received excellent service. It's much better than the corporate diner options in the area. They have the best cookies and gravy I've had in a long time! The cookies are wonderfully soft, and I was thrilled to finally find them at Mandy's. I will definitely be returning and will recommend it to family and friends. Just a heads up: I paid with my debit card, contrary to some reviews that said "cash only." Enjoy your visit!

I love restaurants that have an old-school charm, especially those cozy little spots where the owner is actively involved, chatting with regular customers and making everyone feel at home. This place perfectly embodies that vibe, and the food is outstanding! The service was quick; we were seated right away and our meals arrived promptly. I can imagine there might be a wait on weekends or during breakfast and lunch rushes, but it’s definitely worth it. The house-made salsa is fantastic, and the home fries were seasoned to perfection. I usually find myself needing to add salt to my hash browns or home fries, but not here! I’ll definitely be coming back.
