Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant used to be excellent under the previous owners. While the service was lacking, at least the food was enjoyable. However, when I visited after the ownership change, I found that the food had an off smell and taste. It felt like they were trying to pass off old rice. When I asked about the price changes, the owner became defensive and started arguing about inflation and other issues. I just don’t believe their food is worth $15-$16 anymore. India Tandoori Halal offers much better quality for the same price.
The biryani here remains the best, and the portion is ample for two people. However, it’s advisable to order another dish to complement it, as eating only biryani can be quite heavy. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5/5.
Delicious food, generous portions, affordable prices, and friendly service! Food: 5/5
The quality and flavor have declined while the prices have more than doubled. The biryani is dry. I've been a customer on and off for eight years, starting from when they were in Culver City, where biryani was only $7 cash. Now, it's over $14 plus tax and tip. The previous owners truly cared about this business, and it showed in their food. It used to be great, but now I'm done for good. Also, please remember to include cutlery and napkins for takeout, or at least ask customers if they need them.
The biryani and karhai are possibly the closest you can get to the authentic flavors of Karachi. They are truly amazing!
