Beach Almond - Haycock Island

We had dinner here on the recommendation of Fodor's and our hotel. The food was mediocre at best and arrived cold. Waitstaff was not visible for long stretches to ask for it to be warmed. When we asked for the bill, we waited ten minutes, watched our waitress say farewell to other diners and leave for the night. Then another server brought the bill and we were charged for a bottle of wine when I had ordered one glass. Very poor service. Overpriced, mediocre food.

The food was absolutely divine, the service was amazing and the setting was so beautiful. So many amazing flavours, definitely got our money's worth, and will be back :)

Had the seafood platter with lobster and it was amazing one of the best if not the best tter ive ever eaten

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Cairns! The food was AMAZING!!! if my stomach could handle more food I would have ordered everything! Beautiful setting with amazing service!

Whilst the food tasted ok and the service was friendly, I can't believe this restaurant is ranked number 3 in Palm Cove. Perhaps their Trip Advisor rankings are so high as their staff "suggest" you leave a review on Trip Advisor. The meals are definitely overpriced for what you receive. I'm not averse to paying well for a meal as long as I leave feeling as though my experience matched the price tag. Do yourself a favour and try Vivo or Chill Cafe instead. Both venues I cannot fault.
