Kamat Upachar - HBX

If you are travelling on this highway to Bangalore and its mealtime - lunch dinner or breakfast or even Coffee, Upachar is a place to stop. I have been visiting this place since years and the food is of good quality, pure (unlike a few other highway stops) and of excellent taste

This is a terrible place to visit for your meals.This is situated on the LHS when you are coming from Hubli towards Bangalore.I visited this place in the morning for breakfast around 7.30AM, thinking like most of the Upachars operate.There were plenty of VRL buses outside this place, utilizing the services of the wash rooms.They took almost 20 minutes for someone to visit the table for taking the order.It was one of the worst places that we have ever tasted such worst idlis.The restaurant is not kept clean.In all, kindly avid this place.

Please don't waste your time and money over this place. Service is pathetic and Place is not kept properly. Dirty spoons. Cobwebs all around the place. They are only surviving due to the name kamat attached to it. People just hope in due to the name. Kamat group should try to do some thing about this place or else it will spoil their name.

This place is good for Veg. The taste is good and I visited couple of times during my stay in Hubli. Try out authentic North Karnataka food here. Its worth the visit.

Went in at morning 0730.Upma, uppit or khara bhath was cold. At seven thirty in morning? Had idlis then.Hard like ad if they were bring made in meghalaya, where they don't know what Idli is.Chutney was cold from fridge, surely made the previous day.Sambhar was just about average. And all that at rates much higher than bangalore, where rentals and salaries are much more. 35 For a plate of two idlis, NO vadaa. 22 for a cup of coffee, very tiny cup.Why such high rates? And when I wanted to bring this to the attention of the manager, the staff said thry do not know phone number of the manager, possible? Then I asked for owners number, again they dint know. No feedback form avlble. Can not complain to anyone. TERRIBLE PLACE, EXTREMELY HIGH RATES AND YET POOR TASTE, HORRIBLE SERVICE, ARROGANT STAFF.
