Denali Totem Inn - HEALY

This review is directed primarily at the owners of the establishment. During our ten days in Alaska, we've met countless friendly, warm, and kind individuals. I'm curious how you managed to find and hire the only two unfriendly, unwelcoming, non-smiling, sarcastic, and rude men we've encountered since our arrival. They must be connected to someone, as I can’t think of any other reason for placing either of them in customer-facing roles. On a positive note, the hotel was clean, and the breakfast was satisfactory.

What a fantastic way to immerse yourself in this stunning landscape while still enjoying modern comforts like USB chargers and smart TVs if you choose. It's just a quick two-minute walk to the onsite pub/restaurant or a local grocery and liquor store right across the street. While there’s no air conditioning, each room is equipped with great fans for those occasional warm days. The windows open wide, and there's a lovely courtyard with trek deck walkways and a gazebo, all set against a breathtaking mountain backdrop. Plus, you can take advantage of free laundry machines and ice/hot water dispensers in the beautifully decorated lobbies. There's also a well-equipped exercise room.

Excellent value (just before the peak season) for a spacious, clean, and quiet room. The staff were wonderful. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night and enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. They have a free breakfast that was good. The room was large and had a microwave and a mini fridge.

Great place! Super friendly staff. The breakfast guy needs some work.
