Magu - Helsinki

Magu never disappointed. the personal is always super friendly and authentic and eating always excellent. I have visited magu several times, in the current situation and in the previous on sturenkatu. Both were really cozy and beautiful. the only tiny minus is sometimes the long waiting period. but then the dishes are always worth waiting. would recommend everyone, not only vegan!

We ate there 10 night dinners (dress menu with wine). the food was very delicious and had some interesting and new flavors for us. we really enjoyed our evening and will definitely return. if they are looking for a place to eat, this is probably the best place for vegan in the opposite. The personal made me feel very welcome that they were attentive and professional. the service was fast though I arrived at 4.30 clock, so it was relatiw empty). I wanted to try the non-alcoholic black johannisbeeren and zimtwein, but they had run out. I tried the apple instead of 6 € a glass) and while it was very nice, it didn't seem worth the money and was a bit too much as drinking apple juice! I went for the 5-course dinner for 58 €. I must start 2 and choose a dessert. but for the middle and main courses, I got what I was given. the starters were overwhelming, seemed a little pretentious, with more attention to the presentation than anything else. also the Broccolini bowl was very cold, which led me to the fact that it was perhaps served from the refrigerator, although it seems doubtful. the middle curs gnocchi with basilikum) was delicious. the main was also very good, although it differs from the menu: it seemed kartoffel, vegan mozzarella and wild crumbled pesto I don't remember how the server described it when it was brought out; exactly i expect). the kirsch Cashew cake dessert with sorpetto was also amazing! although the middle, head and dessert were all very good in the did, I am not sure, overall it was worth the price tag. but then again, the beautiful personal made it such a pleasant visit, maybe overall it was worth it.

We had the 9-course tasting menu with the wine pairing. Everything was delicious and well prepared, with some interesting and unique flavors. Highlights were the asparagus (perfect cooked) with Hollandaise and pistachios and the fermented orange Risotto.

I want to give Magu 5stars. Love the place. But always in tasting menus there was a mix of good and easy ok. I still enjoy my time and food here every time. Very recommended to eat here, nice staff too. Images are from 2 different times. Reserve table.
