Wooden Barrel Restaurant - Hermanus

Nice outside seats! The food was great and the waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Appropriate prices and there were Sanitizers on the table. There was also a children's menu.

If you want a good quality food at a reasonable price with a stunning sea view, this is the place to go. I had the Calamari packaging and it was delicious. We had a great view with a good atmosphere. The menu was full of different types of seafood and some interesting desserts including Swiss cheesecake. The menu was a bit hard to read because of its writing and it was a bit too hard with a pirate theme. The waiter Givemore was excellent and helped us with everything and told us that the food would take a while because they make everything fresh.

The vegan burger was fantastic, and the toppings enhanced its flavor. Initially, it seemed a bit small, but it turned out to be the perfect portion. On the downside, the chips had a somewhat “rubbery” texture and could have benefited from a longer cooking time. The atmosphere, coupled with the stunning views of the sea and mountains, contributed to a delightful experience. A big thanks to our waiter, Givemore, for his excellent and friendly service as well as his helpful suggestions on what to order!

We enjoyed some wonderful breakfast choices at this stop while exploring the Hermanus Market. They had options for everyone: a tasty dish for vegans featuring avocados, delicious pancakes for those with a sweet tooth, and hearty beef or pork sausages for the meat lovers. The smoothies and excellent coffee were our drink of choice, and the breathtaking views made it a perfect breakfast destination.

We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The waitstaff was attentive and sanitized our table right in front of us before we sat down. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic, starting from my latte all the way to my meal.
