Bidra med feedbackRecent saw a promotion that they have on curry dish $10 for any chicken or vegetable curry. You can choose from Panang , Green or Red Curry . It was perfect portion for 1 serving and come with Rice. I got Panang Chicken and Green Curry Chicken to go after work perfect satisfying dinner than I had the Green curry for lunch the next day. I would come back because the food is decent
What with it being pretty close to my office, I come here regularly ... often with guests when we have to stay on schedule? Why? Because service is crisp. You're seated quickly and the food comes out shockingly fast. Lunch options are plentiful and come with your choice of soup or spring rolls ... I tend to go for the tom yum soup, which is especially nice on cold days. My barometer for Thai food is the kapow with beef. That is to say, if I go to a Thai restaurant for the first time, I'm getting this. And at Nan Thai, it's amazing. This dish at some places shows up with ground beef or somewhat dry dense rigid pieces. Here they're substantial, very juicy, and floppy. Absolutely delicious. Of course I've explored the menu and inquired how others enjoyed their meals. In my memory, everyone's left happy ... and often with a to-go box. The restaurant has outdoor seating on the walkway if the weather's good, but otherwise come inside for a more tropically styled bar/restaurant scene. Despite often being full, it's easy to have conversations with the people at your table.
Nan Thai is like home to me! I have been coming for a while now! I love this place with all my heart and the food is always top notch!
I updated my review since my first review should have start with Panang curry, not Panama curry. :D However, I've ordered from Nan Thai a few more times since. I love the green curry and my spouse loves the Panang curry. The kanom jeeb was on point last time. And I'm kind of obsessed with the sauce that comes with the crab rangoon. It's not overly sweet, and has a little tang and tiny amout of heat, which really just pops with the crab rangoon.
I moved to Virginia Beach and been craving for pad thai specifically from this restaurant. I ordered shrimp pad thai and it tasted exactly how I remembered having it before I moved 4 years ago. They give you a good amount of shrimp, still has the poached tender flavor. Not dry tasting. I also love how there are ingredients like green onions, radish, tofu, eggs, peanuts giving the noodle dish more texture. Their pad thai also has a wok charcoal taste which reminds me of street food from my motherland of Vietnam. Highly recommend getting it!
