Pollo Tropical 10039 - Hialeah

The pollo is good, but now there's a Chick-fil-A and a Golden Corral nearby. I visited twice on different days—once for lunch and once for dinner—and I noticed that a quarter chicken, including the breast, was way too small. It seems like they are sourcing smaller chickens lately while still charging the same price to boost their profits. They're practically serving baby chickens!

In this restaurant, they don't serve bread with the orders. When I ordered the whole chicken, it was cut into many small pieces. I also ordered a trio, which was very expensive, and all I got was two small pieces of chicken, a teaspoon of pork, and a tiny piece of meat that was barely noticeable. At other chicken places, they actually give you what you order. I won't be returning to this one.

Food and service very good. The place was a little dirty I would say and the atmosphere was not pleasant.

I ordered a steak, and I was disappointed by the portion size. They weigh the meat before serving, and for the price I paid, it was much smaller compared to the chicken and other dishes I had.

The food is extremely overpriced. I couldn't believe I was charged $9.99 for a small avocado salad. It's just incredible. I will never spend my money on these meals again.
