Theo's Steak & Seafood - Highland

This was easily the best restaurant Ive been to in years. Food was delicious, atmospher was romantic and the service was terrific. I really enjoy having soup, salad,and a main couse. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I went with my family for my birthday, and ordered a fillet medium). Not medium rare, not medium well, simply medium. After waiting about an hour, the steak came out. I took one bite, it was bland and overcooked. I immediately let the bartender know we sat at the bar) my steak wasn 't prepared properly, she said she 'd let the manager know. When the manager came over, I explained my request, and to have my steak remade). He asked me to cut the steak down the middle- I did. He then took his nasty cellphone, held it directly over my food and said there 's nothing wrong with that steak! See, it 's pink in the middle! mind you, the steak was completely grey with a little pink in the middle-very overdone. I just wanted to enjoy my family, and my birthday, and I wasn 't trying to be difficult, or cause a scene. I asked, could you just please take the steak back to prepare it as I requested, medium, this is medium well, and not what I asked for. He responded- do you even know what well done is? He continued to say that he wasn 't taking the steak off the bill, even though I never asked for it to be. He also said there wasn 't anything wrong with the steak, and he just walked away saying you 're gonna pay for it, because I 'm not doing anything, not taking it back, and not taking it off your bill. My son had the chicken marsala which was also bland and tasteless, he didn 't eat it at all. At this point, our day was ruined, and I felt terrible. My mom and her friend had visited this place a few months ago, and had a horrible experience with the owner, who knew my mom and her friends visited there often. She gave me the option of where I 'd like to eat, and I chose Theo 's boy was I wrong. We thought, maybe it was a one off, but it wasn 't. The service here is lacking, the food is less than desirable, and the people who are running things are clearly out of touch. My family has spent hundreds of dollars in this place, but they will NEVER get another penny from us. They wont be in business much longer because they don 't know how to treat people- and their food and service sucks! Don 't eat at Theo 's!!

Pricey, but good food and service. Drinks are a bit sweet and not very good from the bar. Could use some updating of drink recipes especially for the price you pay here, which is cheaper than when I eat in Chicago, but drinks leave a lot to be desired. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

The surf and surf was $215. No one told us the price, price wasn 't on the menu. Only thing it said was 'market place value '. No surf and surf at any restaurant, not even Michelin star restaurants, is $215. Robbery
