Steffi's Mandala - Hikkaduwa

It is a beautiful place for vegan and vegetarian. most can be served as vegan. the personal speaks well English and is attentive. good intention, great deko and vibe.

We had breakfast and lunch here and both times were underwhelming. My friend enjoyed the creamy pasta but otherwise the food was a bit bland. Coconuts were warm, potato wedges were more like crispy packet chips with too much salt. Staff told us we couldn’t smoke in the cafe however a staff member was smoking behind the bar. Another was on his phone and it took a while for anyone to come and take our order even though we were the only customers there at the time. It is a bit pricey for quality.

I spend in hikkaduw more than two weeks. During this time I managed to visit this place many times and draw up my final opinion about it. the avocado toast of all that I tried on the island, the most uninteresting. the rest of the food burger, salad, falafel) is tasteless. I order nuttela iced coffee several times in a row, and each time they bring a different one. once brought with ice cream, although I asked for the vegan version, I clarified what kind of ice cream they assured me that it was vegan, in coconut milk. We stayed several times in Steffi’s Mandala and can really recommend it. You have a wide selection of delicious coffee options, matcha, fresh juices and smoothies. The meals we liked most were the cake of the day (cocook cake was vegan) and the avocado bread (can be served vegan).
