Holy Tequila! - Hilton Head Island

Made reservation for bar seats on open table. Arrived and bar full of people no seats. Only then was I told on arrival they don’t take reservations for bar seats. A simple message or phone call would have been appreciated. Wonderful choices of tequilas including infused many delicious.

We had eaten here before and loved it which was why we went back. Food this time was fair and all the meat was dry except the person who ordered the traditional taco salad. Perhaps it was just an off night but we were disappointed: .

It was out second time there. First time we raved to everyone how we found our favorite Mexican restaurant. After going there for the second time we were embarrassed that we recommended it to our friends that we brought there. Food was luke warm at best. Drinks were just ok this time. And they were not busy so that could not be the issue. Staff was very friendly. Did not want to make an issue because we were with friends, but when we got to the car both couples felt it was a less then mediocre experience.

This is our favorite place in Hilton Head to eat. We go every visit! Service and food both incredible.

The food and drinks were very good, except for the salsa. We’re from the southwest and are accustomed to more of the pepper taste in salsa. This was one step up from canned tomatoes. They seemed to be a little short staffed on a Tuesday evening. Our server was very nice, but took orders for everything upfront. Our dinners came out right after the appetizer. I think it was a situational thing, though. I would go back.
