Amigos Cafe Y Cantina - Hilton Head

This has become my favorite restaurant in Hilton Head. My wife and I visited to celebrate our 28th anniversary, and we absolutely loved the large, delicious burritos, salsa, and guacamole, in addition to the excellent service.

Stop everything and head over to this restaurant! Here are a few reasons why: burritos the size of a dog, incredible flavors, a generous staff, drink specials, and amazing salsa... Did I mention that the burrito was roughly the same size as a small dog? Go now!

I would give this restaurant a 5-star rating because the food and service were fantastic. You definitely get your money's worth here, and the staff is very friendly. The dishes are full of flavor and simply great overall. The only downside for me is that you have to pay for chips and salsa, which are typically free at most places.

This place is truly a hidden gem! Tucked away in a small shopping plaza, it’s a bit off the beaten path. The food is fantastic, with a comforting, home-cooked feel. The portions are incredibly generous. My husband and I shared a chicken fajita platter, and it was more than enough for both of us. We absolutely loved the meal! As New Yorkers who dine out often, we’ve tried many places, but this one from out of state is definitely among our favorites. I had to give it a rating because it was just that good!

**The positives:** The Fish Tacos and Combo Platter are both excellent. However, rice and beans are extra for the tacos, and there are no enchiladas or Chile Rellenos on the menu. The Burrito is enormous, which is great! Keep in mind that chips and salsa come at an additional cost unless it's Happy Hour. One suggestion for the Fish Tacos: they should include two corn tortillas each, as mine fell apart at the first touch.
