Bidra med feedbackI've eaten and eaten. Rib eye was on point! Good thing we came back to brunch. We're not going back through Burns without stopping. Boomer is a great cook! Her brown ale is also very tasty.
Stopped here on our fun little road trip. We were craving a burger and Boomers did not disappoint! Boomer made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. We both had the inside out burger with garlic-asiago fries. Quite tasty for sure!! Thank you Boomer!!!
Boomers Place is a nice breath of fresh air into the local food scene; a buddy and I started our Sunday here before hitting the road. Staff was fantastic; you know you 're in a small town where they welcome some of the individuals by name. This business was originally a church, but they purchased this property and revamped the interior. Lots of unique wood features and a stone wall really make it feel like you 're in Eastern Oregon. They 've added some wall mounted AC/heating units, which I can only imagine help in Eastern Oregon 's brutal summers and winters. They do breakfasts buffet style; there was bacon, French toast, muffins, biscuits and gravy, fruit salad, and an omelette station. Bacon was... Okay. It looked, felt, and tasted like microwave bacon. Biscuit was quite dry. Gravy was good. Fruit salad was fine. I didn 't have the French toast, looked mushy from being covered. The omelette was decent, though I think the oil the cook used altered the taste a little to give it a funky bitterness taste I 'm not used to with my omelettes. Two plates and a cup of drip coffee (and 15% tip) came out to be over $35. Hmm. Good when you 're in a crunch but I 'm not sure it was that good. Albeit, I 'd rather go here then Apple Peddler in town for breakfast. If I 'm ever in town again, I 'll have to give their dinners a try. Also worth mentioning; they have some cool other products you may purchase. Salt and pepper, misc. Boomers swag, and it appears they are a local Native eye wear distributor. Neat.
Sweet spot, owner is awesome, food was phenomenal. I didn't expect such a good burger in such a small town. If you live here, you're lucky. If you're passing through make sure to stop. You won't regret it.
Great local place that just opened in late August 2018, and a fun stop if your passing through. Family friendly bar/restaurant that is being created in a converted church using local hand sawn wood. Food was okay and served family style from a buffet. Several local beers on tap and a couple TV's for sports. Nothing too fancy but the owners are clearly working hard to make it awesome. Prices are a little high, but what else is there? I will stop at this little Oasis everytime I pass through town to check on progress and grab some food/drinks. Excellent service.
