Bidra med feedbackExcellent rooftop views and atmosphere with great drink options!
After a fortnight of incredible Vietnamese food from street vendors we were a little apprehensive to eat in an actual restaurant. However this take on Vietnamese classic dishes was really worth the expense. Amazing variety of flavours, all cooked beautifully. Highly recommended!
The food was really high quality. The presentation was great along with the flavors. Other than the ceviche, we thought the portion sizes were good as well. Ambience is good but a little cramped. Nice rooftop bar. I really enjoyed the phojito cocktail, but my gf wasn't a fan of the pomelo highball. The best dish of the night we had was the special pho. Omg that bone marrow was INSANE and the flavor of the broth was so intense. You have to come here when in Saigon! Don't miss it.
Food was excellent, creative , portions was small, so that you can order a lot to taste. the place is in the middle of an old smelly local market the restaurant building is a typical Vietnamese skinny building. We were sitted upstairs in a tiny room (18m2) with more than 15 people, the AC was not working. We were eating and sweating. not a fine dining place , people came with short pants, flip flops.
To be honest, as a Vietnamese person, I found the experience disappointing. The food was rather mediocre, lacking in flavor and served cold, especially the phở. The noodles weren't properly cooked, and the pate in the bánh mì was quite bland. Despite the high-quality ingredients, the overall taste fell short. This is just one of the many reasons why I left unsatisfied. Moreover, the service was lacking as well. Normally, when I visit a restaurant, the servers would at least seat me, but at An An Saigon, I had to find my own table. Basic amenities like tissues were also missing, and i had to call for tissue , which is surprising for a one-star Michelin restaurant like An An .
