Bidra med feedbackWent here for my birthday dinner on Sunday. Service exceptional. Food was brilliant and cooked well. I wish I could remember the name of the guy that served us because he deserves a lot of praise. He came around with dessert and even had a candle in mine for my birthday. Unprepared for this embarrassment, I finished the dessert which was a Rolo Pane Cotta with fresh berries which was perfect for a hot day. Highly recommend this place if your looking for a comfortable, welcoming and friendly place for locals and tourists alike.
I get the feeling the management has changed recently because of the new menu and outside signage. The food was wonderful, we ordered off the entrée menu and the meals were A really good size..Very tasty food and really good prices, give it a try!
We went on a Friday night after having not been to the SOHO for years (since before it was called the SOHO in fact). The place was dead- we were with a birthday party and were essentially the only ones there. Never a good sign. The music was turned up waaaay too loud for the number of people and the one bartender obviously didn 't really know what he was doing. At one point I ordered a gin and tonic and received a sickly sweet sugary drink that I couldn 't stomach (this was Bombay Safire too). When I took it back after a couple of sips I was told 'that 's just the tonic we have ' and that I would have to put up with it. Escalated to the manager and no change in response. I will not be back here by choice.
I went here for a private event and while the pizzas were good, the drinks were a joke. The wet pussy 'shot ' tasted like red lemonade and according to one of their bartenders, juice can 't be a mixer for a basic spirit because it 's 'too expensive ' (is juice really expensive in Tasmania or something? I 've never had a problem ordering juice as part of a basic before)
We had a late dinner at the hotel soho, arriving from 19:15 on a busy Saturday night and the place was packed. they had called b4, but bcoz we were only 2 people they said we could just rock and they would find us a table they did anyway, atmosphere and temperature was great and what they would expect in a good hotel area. we were on our table, but after sitting there were no menu given. I had to ask a passing waitress on menus to order netzen, desserts and a jug of softdrink we waited for 40 minutes on our net. it was a very busy night that I had a signature parma mexicana with salat and straight cut chips; while my partner chose porterhouse steak.
