The Glass House - Hobart

I can recommend The Glasshouse as THE place to dine; exceptional produce, expertly prepared plated, well priced drinks menu attentive service. The best dinner out in Tasmania that we've ever had.

If you are after a high end dining experience on a fairly decent price tag that offers some of the best views in Hobart then The Glass House Hobart is a must. I recommend a minimum of two dishes per person to get the most out of it and most definitely indulge in cocktails. You won’t be disappointed. Full review is now up on Spooning Australia.

What a magnificent spot. Up high above the water with a magnificent view. We asked for the chef to choose our dishes and were so glad we did. The flavours were amazing. So fresh and delicious. Great selection of wines. Waitstaff excellent. Highly recommend to everyone.

Loved, loved, loved the Glass House. The menu is small so you can graze your way through the whole list if you are with a group, which I was. Everything was delicious from the creamy salmon sashimi with egg roe you had to chase around your mouth to pop for the salty explosion, to the succulent oyster mushrooms with a raw egg that you stirred in as a sauce. The meat dishes included a great tonkatsu pork with traditional dark, rich sauce, wallaby tartare which I loved, and the juiciest ribs I have tasted. For dessert, the white chocolate sounds plain but it is full of citrus flavours, some crunch, and oh the creamy chocolate. For drinks you can't go past the selection of gins. We had really good service and couldn't fault the dining experience at The Glass House.
