Bidra med feedbackNo. 1 is Vegetable Bibimbap, their salad, shredded, with hot quinoa or brown rice or white rice. If vegan, ask them to hold the fish roe, but it adds a nice texture. Served with a gochujang sauce, which is spicy...so a little goes a long way. And toss, toss, toss, to mix. It's big, so great dish to share. Love watching the children eat topokki, the round mochi rice cake. Wonderful noodles, in clean-tasting broths. And when am not feeling well, or want something hot, nourishing and comforting, any of their jook (sweet mochi rice soups). I was feeling under the weather one day, waiting for my jook, and the waitress brought a citronella tea for me, saying, this will make you feel better; have been drinking it ever since...honey lemon in hot water. Am a Honolulu resident, not Korean, and love both restaurant locations.
I absolutely adore Korean cuisine and this restaurant offers some of the best dishes in town. I'm so happy we finally tried it out and will definitely be returning. The restaurant is quite small and tends to get busy, so I recommend going early or later after the peak dining hours. We went for lunch around 11:30am and wished we arrived a bit earlier, as the place was bustling with customers and a bit noisy. The fried mandoo here is truly exceptional - crispy on the outside, hot and not greasy. The Bulgogi soup was also a standout, with a flavorful broth and tender bulgogi meat. We also enjoyed the mussels in broth, which had a light and delicious seafood flavor. Plus, this place is BYOB, so feel free to bring your own drinks. The staff were all very friendly and the service was prompt. I have a feeling this restaurant will become my go-to spot from now on.
This cozy little restaurant offers delicious Korean dishes with generous portions at affordable prices. The service is friendly and accommodating, and they also have a vegetarian option for their signature Bim Bim Bop.
I always make sure to visit this restaurant when I'm in town. My kids adore the dumplings here, and the rice porridge is delicious. I often take home side dishes to enhance my bibimbap. While it may be a bit pricey, I consider it a must-visit when in town.
This restaurant is amazing. The seafood porridge and fried dumplings are delicious.
