Bidra med feedbackThe fried tofu was a bit too oily, and the fried chicken pieces didn't meet my expectations. Additionally, the Chinese basil lacked any aroma. I had high hopes because some friends highly recommended this place. Perhaps dining in might provide a better experience. Overall, I would rate the food as 2/5.
I had a great time sitting here and savoring a delicious dish of tofu with kimchi. It’s a warm and inviting place to relax and enjoy a meal.
Season's is located in the Chinese Cultural Plaza, more towards the center courtyard. I love the unique vibe of being in downtown Chinatown, although the parking can be a nightmare. When my friend and I went to visit Season's, we arrived just 30 minutes before closing time (5 PM), so we opted to place a phone order for pickup. This allowed us to park quickly in front of Jolene's Market and cut through to reach the restaurant easily. The gentleman who took my order seemed to be the owner, as there was a shirt with a cartoon drawing of him for sale at the restaurant. He was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating, especially given our late order. The interior of the place exuded a cozy, hole-in-the-wall charm, suggesting that those who knew about it really appreciated the spot. I ordered the crispy chicken wings (8 pieces, large) and the Beef Noodle Soup, which I had heard was one of their most popular dishes. Thankfully, I didn’t have to wait long for the food. We decided to have a picnic at Kakaako Waterfront Park. First impressions were impressive — the presentation was beautiful, with plenty of green onions garnishing both the chicken wings and the beef noodle soup. I dove into the wings first, and wow, they were spicy! It was a type of heat I hadn't encountered before. The chicken was perfectly crispy and seemed to be tossed in a mix of dry spices that contributed to its kick. I’m not great with spicy food, but I managed to power through because those wings were well worth it. As for the beef noodles, I'm usually more of a soup person when the weather is chilly and rainy. The beef was tender and melted in my mouth, while the broth was hearty and just right. Unfortunately, the picnic setting wasn’t quite conducive to fully enjoying the soup as I would have liked. Overall, I’m excited to have discovered Taiwanese food! I definitely plan to return, perhaps on a rainy day.
The food is yummy ... really like their unchoy with ground pork dish. All the noodle dishes are good too. Popcorn chicken is awesome!
I got the taiwanese popcorn chicken (level 5) and the spicy beef noodle soup (level 4). That chicken was so good, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!!Food: 5/5
