Hometown Fare - Hoover

Wow! Tried them for the first time this week and was blown away. My wife declared this her new favorite restaurant which is a big deal coming from her. We ordered one of their weekly dinners (the grilled chicken satay) and it was a huge hit with the adults and the kids. Portions were generous (all four of us ate with enough leftovers for the adults to have lunch the next day), well presented and delicious. Chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the rice was excellent, salad was fresh and the bread was spot on. Highlight, for me personally, was the peanut sauce. Curb side pick up was super fast and the reheating instructions (necessary because I was late picking it up they had pulled it out of the oven right before my scheduled pick up time) were great (and easy).

I absolutely love this place. I make sure to visit every time I see my brother in Ross Bridge. I have only had breakfast there, but the Croque Madame was absolutely amazing. Coming from New York City, this place was really special. The coffee was also some of the best I have ever had. I am a big fan.

This restaurant serves one of the best burgers I have ever had. The burger was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. The staff was friendly and efficient, delivering my meal in less than 5 minutes.

You have heard the expression ?too tired to cook?. Well, for me that is not often, as I love to cook and entertain. However, it did happen and I stopped in to check out Hometown Fare. So glad I did. The short ribs and roasted vegetables were outstanding. I, also, got a pint of gumbo which I throughly enjoyed the next day. This will be a weekly stop for me. Lovely dining experience, for sure!

Absolutely awesome no matter takeout or dine in. This place knows how to prepare a great meal.
