The Wood Shed Bar-b-q Restaurant

Great eating with the daily special meat and 3 or just a burger and pommes that they cannot go wrong! but the best they have is the burgoo! it is so good that they definitely recommend it from the gallone! the service is always top notch!

When in rom. the personal was friendly and attentive. the food was worth a big one. If I find myself in her neighborhood again, I will definitely return. Oh. make sure to order a piece of cake! it was fantastic! (cocococ cream cake)

I am an extremely hard person to please when it comes to bbq. I am from Alabama and we honestly have some great bbq so my expectations were extremely high. I can can wholeheartedly say that the Wood Shed surpassed my expectations. I got a pulled pork sandwich, tater tots, and cabbage. The pulled pork was season through and through, not just the skin. It was a great portion size as well so it is filling. Now let's talk about this cabbage. It was so good as a side that I went back and got a pint of it!

This was a small town restaurant that we may have passed by had it not been for the line of cars wrapped around the restaurant. We figured the food must be good! There wasn't a way to order online so we called in our order and went inside to pick up our food. Apparently the line of cars around the building was there to pick up orders as well. The pound of ribs we ordered was a generous pound! Thick, juicy nice smoke flavor. A vinegar based sauce came along with it. We had never heard of Burgo but ordered it. It is like a tomato based stew and was very flavorful! If we were driving through again, we would definitely make a point to try something else on the menu.

This restaurant has it's ups and downs. Service is always phenomenal but the food is hit or miss. Burgoo is a must have along with the pies. The chicken is sometimes dry. Mashed potatoes are instant which is a no no for me. Dressing is actually stuffing. I still eat here once a week but I have a specific selection of menu items. Pricing is fair.
