The Chequer Inn - Horsham

The service level was excellent. curtis was brilliant. very cooled, but in harmony with what was necessary. thank you! only the reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the pub started in the early morning hours. it was a brilliant atmosphere. I was tired and could sleep through the music. that was a small price for me as curtis and team were brilliant. loved the cooked breakfast and coffee (I skipped sausages due to gluten.)

I visited here in 1990 as a former student of the steyning grammar school, I met native and old school staff. this place has a wonderful environment. I like the feeling here and it has beautiful warm interieur, comfortable chairs. the personal was friendly and the service was brilliant! I hope to be here again!

Beautiful friendly place and good food. not much of a selection available, but was well cooked and pleasant. prices reasonable, cleaner place and spacious. parking is a tade of an nightmare, but only an hour parking space limited on the road.

Loved this wonderful pub we had luck finding and staying in steyning. newley taken over by the spoiled emma and john who were the most friendly hostess. great atmosphere 10/10 English breakfast! traditional local pub in the heart of the common cannot wait to go back!

Went there for lunch today . We had a lovely Brie, bacon and cranberry sauce sandwich and a sausage and red onion baguette both were delicious and served with home made chips Emma and Paul so obliging , service amazing. Lovely old pub with an open fire .We will be returning soon .
