Antonio's Flying Pizza - Houston

Best and one of the oldest restaurant in Houston for Italian food and best of the best Pizza. It runs by the true Italian family .

I've passed by this place everyday for years! I stopped by yesterday during lunch and I was not disappointed! It has a vintage feel to it, but it was super clean. The staff was very efficient and welcoming : the best part is when our pizzas hit the table. We went with their specialty pizzas. They were absolutely delicious ??? we also had the cheesecake but we didn't manage to take a picture! Will come back again.

Haven't been back since the mid 90s and it is still every bit as good as I remembered. Great throwback to how a proper family restaurant should be! Great service and phenomenal food. The sauce is just right, doesn't kill you with acidity but packs a smooth yet subtle flavor that really marries the pasta and protein. Treat yourself and party by ordering a pizza as a starter, really great pie!

Perception is everything. My experience here probably would of been a normal sit down experience at a restaurant but how I was greeted at the door was a very strange. I walk in and the receptionist looks busy even though the lobby is empty. He asks if I?m there to pick up an order, I said no I?m here to dine in. He gives me a strange look and mumbles In confusion. After stating I?m there eat eat lunch again, he finally leads me to the table, my waiter was great. The food however was pretty mediocre. Iv had better mozzarella sticks as sonic. Iv had better pizza at little Cesar?s and I wish I was joking, the pizza came out hot and crust crispy but under seasoned, no salt or seasoning at all, like the sauce was just tomato purée . Maybe my style is alittle unconventional for the people that frequent there. Not sure. Anyways food not worth the price, won?t be back.

This was my first visit with colleagues. Pleasant environment, staff and music. The complimentary bread was hot, fresh and delicious. The sausage calzone was absolutely well prepared and scrumptious!!! I can't wait to go back ???
