Brio Italian Grille Houston City Center

I had lunch combo. The portion was just right for a satisfying lunch.

My wife and I came in to check Brio Italian Grille tonight for dinner. Atmosphere was clean and nice. We ordered Calamari for appetizer. The quality of the squid seems very dry and fried peeled off immediately. It was so salty that we couldn’t eat after one bite. We let the waitress know and she brought us another plate. Second plate was the same as before. I don’t know if it was us but it was just way too salty and quality wasn’t good. We asked kindly about this and waitress took care of it for us. Thank you. It’s unfortunate this happened.

The food was excellent! Although our server was friendly, he didn't get us an ice bucket for our processco and when it was time for my birthday dessert he didn't ask if anyone else at the table wanted their own dessert. My Aunt had to ask for a menu. Other than that little hiccup, as I said the food was excellent, the restaurant was really nicely decorated and it was a conveniently located near a parking garage.

While the food was ok there were two main things that made the dinner experience NOT GOOD.First, the white sangria was not properly mixed or quite tasteless.Second, but more important, we were rushed during our dinner. We were not given enough time to have a nice conversation during our appetizer and then our main meal.We didn't have time to finished our appetizers when our soup was served. And when in the middle of the soup our main meal was delivered.This is not a fast food type of restaurant. If we wanted so we would have gone to one. We went to Brio because we had good memories there and we have not been there for some time. Sadly, I don't think we'll be returning or recommending it to friends anymore.Thanks.
