Caribbean Cuisine - Houston

Really like 3.5 stars... Food and service was good, very nice people... But the food wasn't very hot. I had the little oxtail plate. I made myself very happy and full although I don't like as hot as I like. (aka, became too cool to eat, so only the surface was hot... Friends have the Ruck Chicken there is a four, the other one looks very nice. It's bbq 'd.

Ok food if you are on that side of town. I do like their patties. On different visits, I had their jerk chicken, it's ok but Cool Runnings and Reggae hut are better. Chicken Roti- The Roti skin was very thick and doughy especially on the ends The curry was good.

So every Sunday I eat Caribbean food. This is probably the worst spot in Houston behind Island Sizzler. The chicken is nasty and grey and tastes like regular bbq sauce was used and the lady at the counter was rude. But most importantly the food was nasty. The rice was dry af. If you are looking for quality food go to Caribbean Jerk Cuisine on Richmond or Caribbean Hot Pot in Spring both are delicious but this place was by far the worst Jerk Chicken I've ever had. No lies are being told. Save yourself $10.99.

Had the curry chicken roti. The chickpeas was spoilt, the roti was stale and stiff. They reheated the roti in the microwave with water it wasn't freshly cooked roti. The chicken was kinda ok but didn't have any flavor. I'm from the Caribbean and i'm all about supporting Caribbean food places but this was just aweful. Went with a party of 3 and everyone said it tasted aweful.

I got rice and pea with oxtail gravy amd I was very disappointed! The gravy is watery and flavorless. This make me long for Mrs.Ina. Smh
