Bidra med feedbackMy husband I just pulled over the street. Every time we pass this place, it is packed! So we decided to try it for our weekly date night. It was delish! I ordered the Hummus Chicken? Pita. I couldn't even finish the whole thing. But I love the remains? My husband tried the chicken steak kabobs with brown rice Greek salad. He would definitely order the Kabob again.
It's hard to say if the service is better than the food, or if the food is better than the service. Either I've gone to this special location for years, and they're from the few franchises that had managed to preserve their origin throughout the years. Most places tend to go full business and Jack prices while the food quality drops, but not Island Grill. They were always elite.
Honestly, this place is one of the best in town. Small, family owners, local joint that just seems to do everything very well. From large breakfast options to lunch and dinner, desserts, juices, smoothies, this place makes everything. And not to mention that the people who make this place run daily. Joanne and Daisy always greet me with a smile and greet me every time under my name. Great food and make me feel at home? What a victory. Support local. Food Island Grill.
I love this place because my wife loves this place. I'm not a Kabob type, but her chicken plate, Pita bread and hummus are great. I also like to keep it super easy with chicken rice. What makes this place really worth a ride from Katy is the staff!! You would think you are in a fine restaurant with the way the staff is soooo attentive. Always check for you, always ask how they can make your food exactly as you want. More than Appt to change your menu to meet your needs. It's unpaid. The free frozen yogurt does not hurt either.
Meh. I wasn?t impressed. The first thing I noticed upon walking in was the smell. There was a fish odor that was unpleasant. Had I not been meeting someone, I would have walked out. Prices are a little high. $23.57 for a burger (that wasn?t so great), fries and a drink. Actually, the drink was the best part. Since they didn?t have sweet tea, I opted for my next favorite, lemonade. The Roy?s Fresh Lemonade and Sonic type ice was really good. My friend said the Margherita pizza was pretty good, but the honey mustard dressing for her salad was more mustard than honey. She wasn?t very impressed with the lunch either. The seating was a little uncomfortable. The very thin cushioned booth side is elevated higher than the chair side of the table. It made for an strange ?taller than the other person? feeling. I expected it would have been a busier place than it was, but maybe others share my feelings on the establishment.
