Sweetgreen - Houston

Sweetgreen always comes through with the delicious healthy bowls. I can always count on them to have a tasty bowl that fits my taste for the day. I like that the fact that is a quick healthy option.

Very fresh, healthy options. They have many vegan and gluten free options on the menu and you can modify everything to make it vegan/gluten free. The interior is nice and inviting, and the staff was friendly. I don?t like that they use single-use bowls and forks, because even though it?s compostable, it still creates a lot of trash, and is quite unnecessary.

Twice the rice was crispy-crunchy dry. All the ingredients supposed to be served warm were cold. Those salads were quite inedible. I figured the staff were just having a bad day so I decided to not complain and give them a 3rd chance. The 3rd time within a month of my last visit the rice was hard seemed uncooked or overcooked and burnt again. The manager said it would take one hour to cook fresh rice. I asked if she could throw a couple of sweet potato pieces instead of the rice and she said no, unless I paid $2 extra. Not only the quality of their food has taken a remarkable dive, but the quality of the service has as well. Many of their salads have rice, why can they keep a rice cooker going all day? Terrible management I think is the answer here. I hope things improve for them

I usually come to this location but will not be returning. I ordered a salad and it?s was absolutely disgusting so within 3 minutes of me paying for my order I returned back to the register and informed them I did not like my order and if I could switch it for another salad? She told me no after making me another salad already and forcing me to pay for the 2nd salad. So I have now paid 40 dollars for 2 salads one that I could not eat because of how nasty it was. Not a way to keep customers coming back.
