Taste of Texas Restaurant - Houston

This restaurant is amazing! Tina our waitress was professional and still funny. The food was melted in your mouth DELICIOUS. The decor was eye-drawing education. Taste of Texas is now my new favorite restaurant in whole Houston area!! My only problem was that it was my first visit, I asked our waitress to pack ALL the left when we came home, we lacked many things that were on our records, which I did not even try because I was so full, very disappointing.

Loved the atmosphere in the Taste of Texas! Great for any special occasion, and the staff is professional and friendly. The steaks here are some of the best I ever had definitely reservations because waiting could be up to 2 hours different. You get to choose your own steak, and my (t bone) was perfectly cooked. The salad bar is included with any steak order, and it has a great fresh and varied selection. Definitely try when you're in the area!

This place is simply the dream of a steak lover. We came here for the first time last week and had a fantastic experience! Food: 5/5 all steaks are high quality and you can choose your own steak for them to grill. We have to share the Tomahawk and Porterhouse steaks between 3 ppl, meat was very tender and taste was rich. Size of steaks were definitely Texas size! They even have a salad bar with really good choice of vegetables. We got the Sickers Pie for Dessert, it was incredible. You can't go wrong here. Service: 5/5 our server was super and attentive all night, although the place was packed. I could say all servers are experienced and know what they are doing! Ambience: 5/5 lots of Texas style decor and there are lots of history / interesting facts striving about the walls. We sat in a room full of vintage wineries that put them in glass displays. There were also antique muskets and swords on the walls, really cool to see! I would certainly come back, thank you for an amazing meal!

My wife and I met our friends to retire the ladies on Thursday night. The Texas ambience and the great room feeling are impressive. We sat immediately and briefly greeted by our waitress Allison. After ordering our food we had a trip to the salad bar, which had a wide selection of fresh salad and many accessories. In the middle of our salad the waitress was back and in the right time our dinner was on the table. We all enjoyed our food, but that was the best NY Strip Steak I had for a long time and we were visited by the manager. O and the desert floor is important not to give up. They did a great job with the salad bar, the food, the waiting staff and the Texas atmosphere and the view of the restaurant. We're from Houston and I know we're back soon. Don't miss this place! Great job. Reservations recommended.

This was my first time going to Taste Of Texas since my friend wanted to take me. We had Robby for our waiter and he was amazing! He made me feel comfortable and right at home. The food was great and the bread was even better! I got to pick out my cut of steak and took a ton of photos of the decorations around the restaurant. Everyone was dressed up nice and the atmosphere was very elegant and friendly. Very clean, respectable, and organized restaurant all around. I just wish I had room for desert after my very filling steak. Next time I?ll have to eat less bread from the salad bar to have room to try their desert menu?
