Bidra med feedbackLove eating at this Iconic Mexican restaurant. This is the only remaining Pancho's in the HTown area. I recommend you eat here ASAP before this one closes permanently.
The food was delicious except for the cheese enchiladas, and rice.
Food was what you would expect from Pancho's Mexican Buffet. It was decent food. Was it the best Mexican food? No. But it wasn't the worst either. It was edible unlike some Mexican food I have tried. And it's all you can eat! And it's totally worth the $14.99 per person just for the Sopapillas alone. Those are delicious! And I go there most of all for the nostalgia. I grew up with my family going to Pancho's all the time. I definitely went there for my birthday most years... I even chose to have my 50th birthday dinner at Pancho's. And then COVID hit and closed that location down, the original one for Houston. Heartbreaking . Anyway the humble location is still alive and doing well. Like I said it's not the best food or the worst. And you never have to wait 20-30 minutes for your food. You get it as soon as you make your choice on what you want. The flautas dipped in their cheese sauce is soooo good. I wanted to take those home with me.
Ive always enjoyed this place since i was a kid. Still a great place to eat
This is the last Panchos in Texas!! It seriously breaks my heart to have been told this by an employee. Panchos was a frequent restaurant for my family and I have nothing but fond memories. It’s exactly the same, delicious buffet options and stellar customer service. There’s dishes they offer that I could never find in other Mexican restaurants like calabacitas. And the unlimited sopapillas and ice cream bar are nostalgic fun. It’s absolutely worth the experience and hopefully the franchise can bounce back from COVID.
