Baja Taco House - Huntington Beach

First time I've been there,had a shrimp burrito that was huge and tasty. Will explore more of the menu.

Horrible service! The Woman working the counter was forgetful and screwed up peoples overs. Her job was a bit overwhelming for her! I looked at my receipt and they charge a .95 service charge and they want a tip too! The food was mediocre and small portions, skimpy on give you salsa , nothing to want to repeat coming back.

I had been driving past Baja Taco House for a few months now and decided to stop in. I ordered the chicken taquitos and my partner ordered the shredded beef tacos. My partner said that the tacos were good, but not amazing although the outer shell was very crunchy. My taquitos, although, tasty, had a soggy shell. The best things were the chips and salsa. I probably won't be returning.

The tacos are expensive, but everything is expensive nowadays. Food quality is pretty good. But today is the second time in a row I've come here excited for tacos only to find they're closed. Another potential customer was walking up at the same time and we commiserated over having both showed up for tacos both on a Monday when they're closed all day, and then today when they're randomly closed from 1-5p. So call ahead before you waste your time coming here during normal business hours when they're closed.

I guess “under new ownership” isn’t always a good thing. We have gotten take out every week since shortly after they opened years ago. All through COVID, every week to support them. They just changed owners, and I am NOT impressed. We loved the Ribeye Tacos for the flavor and nice change from basic carne asada. Now it’s gone for good. The cilantro salsa, also a favorite, now tastes watered down and bland. The food is good enough but the things that made it special to us are now gone so it’s just another taco restaurant. Nothing special anymore for the area. Their new help is clueless. I think I will give them one more week to get it right and then bounce. Their guacamole is still good which earned the extra star.Years of loyalty, betrayed.
