Black Horse Food Emporium - Hyndburn

We called in here today on the off chance that they had a free table for lunch. The lady that greeted us was lovely and found us a table straight away, bringing us menus and the special boards and took our drinks order while we chose. The inside is lively and clean and well presented. There was no feeling of being rushed at any point. My partner ordered a club sandwich and a coffee and I ordered a sweet chilli wrap and a Diet Coke. We didn’t have to wait long, while the food was cooked freshly for us. The portions were huge and so well presented. It was absolutely delicious, the chef came out and asked if everything was ok, it was more than ok! It was fantastic. The total bill came to just £18. We will definitely return here and highly recommend. Thank you for your hospitality, great staff food. A gem of a place.

Such a disappointment. Friendly staff took my drink order asked me to wait awhile before she could take my breakfast order. Then some 10 mins later informed me there was no bacon

The Black Horse Food Emporium is a wonderful place to visit. The menu is always changing with daily specials and the food is delicious. I’ve visited many times and the food and service are excellent. You are always made to feel welcome and if you have any questions about the food the staff are extremely knowledgeable.

Me and my partner went for lunch, my dear lady was hell bent on soup, I'm not a soup fan, however here a soup of the day and sandwich of your choice was very very tasty, well worth popping in for breakfast or lunch if in the area.

I was visiting my daughter and decided to treat her to breakfast. I looked on Trip Advisor and this place came up, so we decided to walk with her little cocker spaniel, it was raining heavily and when we arrived we were all wet and feeling a bit soggy but we received a lovely welcome. We had the full English, yes a bit pricey and not the best we have had, although it was tasty and enjoyable, we have had nicer. But it’s the lovely friendly atmosphere that made the morning for us, we met some fabulous people who are regulars and welcomed us with a smile and lovely conversation, the staff were also lovely, friendly but professional. We enjoyed it so much we went back later the same day for a pot of tea and cake (which was amazing). My daughter is new to the area but said she felt that comfortable and welcome that she will visit on her own. Well done
