Taco Alley - Idabel

This was the most disappointing $15 I?ve ever spent on $9 worth of Taco Bell quality food. How can a place this close to Mexico serve such bad Mexican food? The chips tasted like they were poured out of a bag yesterday; the ?queso? is ballpark nacho ?cheese? sauce; the ?salsa? is from a packet and not even as good as Taco Bell?s packets. Nothing tasted like it was freshly made with two exceptions the pulled pork and the chicken in the tacos were flavorful, and worthy of a second star. Everything else can be done at least as well at home with store bought ingredients.

This place screams I used to be Taco Casa. The tacos were pretty good and the cashier friendly. The bathroom smelled absolutely horrible, worse than a litter box. Update: A restaurant staffer contacted me to let me know they are working to correct the bathroom situation.

I frequent Taco Alley for lunch. The food is usually good, but the drive through like will have a long wait. Sometimes, the cinnamon crisps are more crisp less cinnamon. More like plain chips than a treat. For me, that has been the case almost half the time. The taco basket meal is good and I enjoy the super burritos. The sweet tea is great and the ice is crushed not cubes.

Always great food. Visit here every time I'm in town.
