Pick Axe Pizza - Idaho Springs

Slow service and the pizza looked old even though we watched it get taken out of the oven. Probably wouldn’t go back.

Overall: 4.50-Delectable, oven baked pizza made-to-order speciality pizzas. Variety of appetizers beer/alcoholic spirits. Friendly service charming atmosphere for lunch or dinner. Locals love to eat here, too. Lots of options to special order to dietary needs and/or restrictions. Importantly, clean bathrooms with creative barrels for the sink basin (POC included). Also, added pictures of visitor center with gift store and small museum.

Only tried the build your own Calzone. The Calzone was good from the firewood oven. The service was attentive and polite. The atmosphere was mellow, we were the only ones eating at that time around noon. I'm sure Pickaxe gets rowdy on the weekends. The surroundings were dated with a hodgepodge of things all around. I'm not a picky or snobby person it's just an observation. I did like the historical pictures in the hallway just outside the restrooms. An interesting place to try. Vegetarian options: Not much for vegetarians Parking: Free parking around this area after 6PM Wheelchair accessibility: This establishment was not equipped for the handicapped but could still work if needed.
