Smokin Yard's Bbq - Idaho Springs

Breathe down here, Mt. Evans. I'll eat every chance here. Your BBQ is so good and the sauce is also great. We got the hot wings, a few BBQ sandwiches, and some pulled pigs and it was all on the point and smoked to perfection. Your ranch and fried pickles are also on point!!! This is so good or better than any grill I found in Texas!!

Loved this place! We ordered the brisket, chicken and pulled pork. We loved all of them and will be going back in the future. I highly recommend this place for both food and friendly service.

We 've been looking for a new BBQ spot since we moved to Colorado and none have come close, until we came here! Crazy thing is, everytime we 're in or passing Idaho Springs we usually just go to Beau Jo 's, not that we won 't go to BJs anymore, but this is definitely the new MUST STOP! The food, service and atmosphere in this lil hole in the wall are amazing. Draft beer choices are good as well, try the 8.6 Pikes Peak awesome ! The sausage, brisket, ribs, beans, mac were GREAT! Their chocolate cake (desert) was really good as well. If there was 1 thing that wasn 't a hit, it was the cream-corn, doesn 't compare to Rudy 's, but other than that this is by far the best BBQ joint we 've been too!

Fantastic! The brisket and mashed potatoes are to die for! The brisket is so tender and the mashed potatoes are so airy and melt in your mouth. Ribs and chicken are also good. Will be back again for sure!

I don't know what these two other folks are talking about. It's a great place between Breckenridge and home, and we've had a great experience each time we've stopped. Amy took our order, showed us where to get our silverware and condiments, and gestured us over to a fine table. The ribs were awesome, the meat tender, but sticking to the bones enough so I could eat with my fingers, true BBQ style. My husband loved his pulled pork sandwich, succulent and flavorful without being overly smokey. Collards pair nicely with the potato salad, one salty one not. Beans are bacony, and the coleslaw is great! Any place that offers Dr. Brown's Diet Cream Soda has got my vote. My husband loved the beer. We've been to Memphis, where we barbecued our way through town. Smokin' Yards is every bit as good, no muss, no fuss. Rock on!
