Private Incline Beach - Incline Village

Such an amazing part of living here. Uncrowded beaches for residents and guests only.

Great place to watch the sunset. We’ve been coming here for years. Always clean.

If the South is known for its hospitality, Incline Village must be its polar opposite.Just as a heads up to fellow travelers (so as not to waste your time), this beach is only reserved for the locals (you have to check in and show proof of residing there before being allowed to enter).When I was told this as I was about to walk onto the beach, I bit my tongue. Instead of going on a tirade about how incredulous it was that someone who had done his time and fought for this country multiple times overseas was not allowed to just step foot on a beach of said country for a few moments just because he did not reside in that locality, I just took a deep breath and walked away.Similarly, a half an hour earlier I had visited the Incline Village Rec Center. I was interested in purchasing a day pass but was told that due to COVID , only those who were already members could use its services.In both instances, as someone passing through and visiting, I was willing to pay out of pocket, but learned that because I did not live there, I could not access those areas or services.For a community whose economy relies on tourism, perhaps Incline Village should learn not to treat travellers passing through as a nuisance.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would! I live in Incline Village and used to enjoy visiting this beach, but my experience changed when they refused to allow my service dog in and humiliated me in front of everyone. My dog is not just an emotional support animal; she is a certified service dog and should be permitted everywhere! The staff member who asked me to leave even questioned what type of service dog I had and demanded to see her ID, which is illegal and incredibly disrespectful! I rely on my dog to accompany me wherever I go. I would strongly advise against visiting this beach.

These beaches are only for the wealthy! Don't bother visiting unless you're a multi-millionaire with a mansion nearby or one of the service industry workers who caters to them. Incline Village restricts beach access to residents only. Tahoe is no longer the beautiful destination it once was for everyone to enjoy.
