Bidra med feedbackA family run restaurant where the food was excellent. Good range of dishes on the menu. I chose the Beef Machaca which was something i have not had before and i throughly enjoyed it, my wife having the chicken version alongside a generous margarita. Very friendly staff and enjoyed it so much we returned for breakfast the next morning for Huevos Rancheros and Chilaquiles. Once again was totally bowled over with the cooking.
They are amazing we ate there 4 times in the last two days very friendly big plates of food at a good price. Small family owned is what it looks like... That's why I think the food was so good
Wasn 't too excited upon entering the place. Decorations sparse and furnished appeared to have been passed down from several household kitchens. Definitely low budget. The chips and salsa were tasty. Service slow but competent and polite. The SURPRISE came about when my first ever shrimp enchilada was served with perfect beans and rice. I am not Hispanic, but I have been in California all my life and had plenty of Sea Food and Mexican Food. The Enchilada was end to end, filled with perfectly cooked shrimp and topped with what I think was described with their special family white sauce. I am glad I declined when offered my choice between a salsa and the family sauce. Scrumptious. There was a steady stream of to Go business so I am assuming the word is out on their quality. I think a few dollars spent on furnishings and decorations would go a long way towards filling the empty sit down seats.
This place is definetly worth the wait only about 20 minutes, we had one mishap with the packaged mayonnaise that the girl there had just bought which winded up being bad but she took care of me very well. Even with the mishap, I highly recommend this place, the cheeseburger was great and do not miss out on the French fries, very very good
My family of 4 ate here a delicious lunch for less than $45. As you can say, the shrimps were the big hit. The food took a while to get out, but once you taste the quality, you understand what this time was going on. My mother has potato enchiladas that were good and unique as they were covered in a rich Mola sauce. If you weren't in a hurry, I'd check it out.
