Rasthof Restaurant Pauli - Ingolstadt

Wirtshaus zum Pauli, is located next to a busy main road not far from the Ingolstadt Outlet Mall. The restaurant can cater guests in four dining rooms. Because of the traffic noise, you find at the terrace only cigarette smokers. The restaurant is days a week and offers lunch and dinner. Furnishings and decoration are dated and provide an easy-going atmosphere. At the menu you find Bavarian and Croatian food: salads, main courses and desserts. The waitresses are in dirndl dress and service is friendly. We came on a weekday evening and found the place quiet. We went for Zander with Röstkartoffeln Salad and a Sauere Zipfl; a typical Franconia dish of Bratwurst cooked in vinegar. The food was acceptable but far from impressive. The Röstkartoffeln were very salty and uneatable without another large glass of beer. When you fancy average food in a somewhat out-dated ambiance, Wirtshaus zum Pauli is the place for you. For fine dining you better to go elsewhere

We stayed at the block hotel for a night after spending the day shopping at ingolstadt village . This restaurant was recommended by hotel for dinner as it was close by . It’s essentially a pub set amongst factories and appeared to be frequented by...locals after work . There are no English menus but we were saved by a lovely English speaking waitress who helped us make our dinner choices . We are wine drinkers and the red wine they brought us had been opened for too many days . My husband ordered a fillet steak medium to well done and it was rare . My meal arrived minutes after his . Apart from the friendly waitress who was attentive , we found the meals to be average

Portion was relatively big in size, Argentine beef was really tasty and prepared perfectly. I think we hit here during the rush time as we have to wait sometime to get a table

Decent food, avarage price level, interior ok, but the waitress was way too slow. Waiting for bill minutes asked for it time šāda} ph. For desert minutes after main course. Gave menu in german when i speak english

Staying at a hotel (without restaurant) about km away from this place on our way to Austria, they offered to make us a reservation here. Staff was very friendly. The food is really decent at a decent price. We had (as a main course)...the shrimps with grilled vegetables and home made Thai sauce. It had the warning “spicey” and it is. Not too much for me, but for my wife it was more than enough. I really liked it! Good place for the right price
