Bidra med feedbackRooms are clean, but too warm. Staff is not able to fix anything. “Breakfast” is a joke, some cereals and toast with coffee(don’t eat the cream cheese, I’m pretty sure it is left out overnight. Seems very expensive for little to no services. Also, the elevator is broken and only energy exit stairs can be used. I wouldn’t complain so much about a hotel in the arctic, but they advertise as an amazing place and it is a big let down. Finally, they don’t clean your room each night and the restaurant is take out only. They need to hire more people… someone is pocketing a lot of money without putting anything back into staffing.
Stayed Mackenzie hotel for three days .Great customer service and rooms were pretty good ?.
Barb and her staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate my stay!Clean rooms, quite and close to all amenities! Highly recommend the MacKenzie HotelOnly down side is the lounge isn't open...guess I needed to save my hard earn money!Walkability: Central location make walking to mostly everything easy ? ?
Here’s the good: Good sized beds. Clean room. Nice bathroom Air conditioned Microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine Serve yourself breakfast breads, muffins, juice boxes, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, coffee and tea. No fried foods. No table service. I’m ok with getting my own breakfast but not everyone is. Here’s the not so good: Internet was down. Cell service was not great. We didn’t eat in the dining room because it was takeout and pay with cash only because internet was down. Not entirely the hotel’s fault. There were wildfires surrounding Inuvik and we were told that affected the connection. A little noisy but that didn’t both me too much. Heavy doors and people forget they’re in corridors with guest rooms either side of them don’t shout, people! Here’s the bad: Check in. The girl who checked me in was really not personable. I understand it was the end of the day and you might have had a difficult day. But I work in customer service and you need to be ‘on’. Being grumpy and not explaining things nicely or even at all isn’t effective customer service. Her colleague who checked us out the next morning had a totally different attitude!
We luckily found this hotel after running out of the horrible capital suites. It looks welcoming from the outside and everything inside is more amazing. Front Desk staff were helpful. Room was well appointed and had great space for us to eat in the room. Fabulous free breakfast with lots of choices. They even had a weight room (which we did not use). Hands down, this is the place to stay in inuvik
